Music and fashion have always existed in the same realm, with artists often seeing their style as an extension of their personal expression. With that in mind, British online fashion retailer boohooMan and Nigerian singer-songwriter Shallipopi have teamed up for a new collection for AW24, which the brand describes as a “huge milestone.”
The line takes a contemporary spin on the notable streetwear aesthetics of ‘90s hip-hop with nods to Shallipopi’s own Afro-rocker style. Ranging from distressed graphic jersey sets to oversized carpenter-style denim in spray and dirty washes, the 49-piece collection taps into the Gen Z notions of escapism. Every garment is designed to offer effortless style and laid-back vibes for everyday wear.
West African fans of the artist can now shop the collection on the new Nigerian-dedicated website boohooman.ng, as boohooMAN has also announced its partnership with a new wholesale partner in Nigeria. Shallipopi joins Burna Boy, Rema and Omah Lay as the brand’s latest dynamic Nigerian collaborators.
“I’ve always believed that fashion is a powerful form of self-expression,” Shallipopi explains in a statement. “Collaborating with boohooMAN on this AW24 collection has been an incredible experience. This line blends my musical roots with bold, innovative styles that resonate with today’s youth.”
He added: “Each piece reflects the spirit of freedom, creativity, and resilience, and I can’t wait to see how our fans mix and match these looks to create their own unique style.”
