Saint Floew Tags Kwesta For Kwaito-Inspired Joint “Bag RaJahman”

A powerful mix of kwaito and hip-hop.

Zimbabwe’s fast-rising rapper Saint Floew continues to solidify his status as one to watch with his latest single, “Bag RaJahman”a cross-border collaboration featuring South African rap heavyweight KwestaSaint Floew, who’s already garnered a massive following with tracks like “Pamwe Wanga Usingade” and “Kante”, delivers another standout performance here, further cementing his place as a household name in Zimbabwean hip-hop.

Kwesta, a winner of multiple South African Music Awards (SAMA) and Metro FM Music Awards, opens the track with his signature style and storytelling flair; known for hits like “Ngud” and “Spirit”, he delivers reflective verses in English about the pursuit of success, wealth, and overcoming challenges. His words connect across borders, capturing the shared drive for greatness in Africa’s creative communities (Kwesta made his big-screen debut in Netflix’s recently released Piano Love, further showcasing his dedication to the region’s creative landscape).

Saint Floew matches Kwesta’s energy with catchy Shona bars, proudly representing his Zimbabwean roots. His admiration for Kwesta’s career is evident in his lyrics, too, as he pays tribute to the South African rapper’s achievements while asserting his own ambitions. This mix of Shona and English creates a dynamic back-and-forth between the two artists, showcasing their unique styles while maintaining a cohesive sound.

“Bag RaJahman” is a standout track from Saint Floew’s latest LP, Trap Yevafundisi, where he continues to evolve as an artist, showcasing his range across multiple genres. The track has a masterful production, characterised by a laid-back, kwaito-infused beat—a perfect throwback to South Africa’s iconic township sounds. Producers KayzMade It, Money Cure and Jamal No Limits blend this nostalgic kwaito groove with modern hip-hop, crafting a track that feels both timeless and fresh. The song bridges old-school kwaito rhythms with contemporary rap, making it accessible to fans of both classic township vibes and the evolving African hip-hop scene.

Visually, the “Bag RaJahman” music videodirected by Slowsman Filmsbrings the track’s themes to life. Shot in the gritty, high-density suburbs, the video captures the vibrant hustle of township life. Pansula dancers take centre stage, performing moves synonymous with South African street culture, while the backdrop of bustling local spots reflects the environment that fuels both artists’ ambitions. It’s a perfect visual complement to the song’s message of striving for success, wealth, and recognition in a world that’s often tough to navigate.

Saint Floew and Kwesta make it clear: the hustle is real, and the journey to the top is one fuelled by passion, perseverance and, above all, collaboration.
