Nigerian rapper, Phyno has released the music video for “Back Outside”, his latest single featuring fast-rising talent, Cheque. The track comes off Phyno’s ambitious fifth studio album, Full Time Job, which has continued to enjoy high acclaim following its release earlier in the year.
Right on time for the celebratory and eager energy of December, the Director Pink-directed flick artfully captures the essences of the season — enjoyment, gratitude, and most of all, togetherness. The scenes switch between a vibrant carnival featuring marching bands, cheerleaders, bouncy houses, and people of all ages are united for a day of fun, and a stylish bar scene with cameos from Nigerian socialites Cubana Chief Priest and Yhemolee.
“‘Back Outside’ is more than just music; it’s a vibe that brings everyone together,” Phyno says. “I wanted to create something special that captures the essence of celebrating life, full time”. With the video for “Back Outside” and themes of Full Time Job, the artist continues to make a strong case for the prioritisation of love, joy, and peace in the current stage of his career as one of Nigeria’s veteran rappers.
