Asake & Wizkid’s ‘MMS’ Music Video is Here!

It’s simple, monochromatic, and suspended in time.

Nigerian singer, Asake has been an undeniable force dominating charts, airwaves, and social media feeds every year since his 2022 mainstream debut with . And 2024 has been no different. Off the heels of his sold out O2 Arena Show, he has released the accompanying visual for “MMS”, his collaborative effort with Wizkid off his third studio album, Lungu Boyz.

Asake once again teams up with the renowned director behind the visuals for “Wave” starring Central Cee, Edgar Esteves. This time, they swap the bustling energy of Lagos and head to London to capture the essence of the city as a nod to Asake’s global reach and influence.

Against an industrial backdrop, Asake and Wizkid emphasise their chemistry as individuals frozen in time surround them. It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, “Asake tweeted back at the time of Lungu Boyz’s release. I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer. MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.
