Lagos was agog with festivities from April 17-21, celebrating the city’s best music, art, fashion and culture at HOMECOMING™ Festival. Since its launch in 2018, the festival has become an annually anticipated fixture during Easter weekend. This year, the festival returned bigger and better with new features and its continuous mission of connecting the Black diaspora to its African roots.
The 2025 edition featured insightful conversations from cultural leaders, exclusive brand collaborations, the annual HOMECOMING™ Cup football competition, star-studded performances and the official launch of HOMECOMING™’s first permanent space in Lagos.
Exclusive pieces, limited drops, and collaborations with global streetwear brands were readily available at the newly-opened multipurpose hub. The brands included; AMBUSH, Patta, Denim Tears, NIKE, Stüssy, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Mowalola, Sharkkini, Meji Meji, PDF Channel. Shoppers were treated to an appearance by Olaolu Slawn for the launch of his latest Nike Air Max 95s. The space also served as home to HOMECOMING™️’s premier live radio station as well as a braiding salon.

To foster the spirit of community and drive home the importance of education, the HOMECOMING™️Summit hosted a full day of talks led by industry heavyweights across music, fashion, sports, and culture including football legend Jay Jay Okocha, photographer Gabriel Moses, and AMBUSH founder Yoon.
While the live music show is known for incorporating performances from international acts (previous editions featured Central Cee, Skepta, Jhus, Ardee, and more), this year, the focus shifted entirely to local acts with a headline performance by afropop star, Davido. Performances included a mix of upcoming and established talents such as ODUMODUBLVCK, Teni, Cruel Santino, Qing Madi, Odunsi The Engine, DJ Tunez & Friends, DJ YK Mule, Poco Lee, SGaWD, and more. The festival also launched “HiFi”, HOMECOMING™️’s new electronic music night, spotlighting cutting-edge talent across the continent’s growing alt-electronic scene.
With its latest edition, HOMECOMING™️continues to drive home dedication to celebrating African talent and its growing position as a global taste maker.
