IBest Wines Debuts in Duty Free at O.R. Tambo International Airport, Expanding Its Global Footprint

Award-winning wine brand IBest Wines, founded by entrepreneur Ingrid Best, has reached a major milestone with its debut in Big Five Duty Free at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, the largest airport on the African continent.

The placement marks the brand’s first global Duty Free presence, positioning IBest Wines at one of Africa’s most important international travel hubs, where travelers from around the world intersect.

The milestone builds on the brand’s growing presence in global travel, including its placement on American Airlines International Flagship First, where it has been introduced to premium international audiences.

At the same time, IBest Wines is expanding its footprint within South Africa through Norman Goodfellows, one of the country’s leading premium wine and spirits distributors and retailers, reinforcing its positioning in both travel retail and local premium markets.

For Ingrid Best, the moment reflects a broader vision — building a brand that exists at the intersection of wine, art, travel, and culture, moving fluidly across global spaces.

“As someone who has been passionate about highlighting travel to South Africa, it’s incredibly meaningful to see IBest Wines available in Big Five Duty Free at O.R. Tambo International Airport, the largest airport on the African continent,” Best said.

“I’m honored for the brand to be among the wines representing South Africa in a place where travelers from around the world pass through every day. South Africa has long been a place of inspiration for me, and it means a great deal to see the brand now be part of that journey.”

With its continued expansion across international travel platforms and premium retail channels, IBest Wines is steadily establishing itself as a global lifestyle brand, navigating the same cross-cultural pathways that define contemporary movement.
