Asake Connects With Travis Scott For Groovy New Drop “Active”

Asake and Travis Scott have just dropped their highly anticipated single, “Active”, a track poised to become a late summer anthem.

Produced by Asake’s frequent collaborator, Sarz, “Active” blends Asake’s signature Afrobeats-meets-Amapiano rhythms with Travis Scott’s electrifying rap style, creating a fresh and dynamic sound. The accompanying music video, directed by the acclaimed duo Edgar Esteves and Josh Valle, is a visual feast filmed across multiple locations. It features eye-catching elements like horse riding, a lively brass band and standout fashion moments, all capturing the track’s high-energy essence and cultural vibrancy.

This release follows Asake’s recent success with Central Cee on “Wave”, which earned him a Top 20 spot on the UK singles chart. 2023 proved to be his year, with a Brit Award nomination, a Grammy nod for Best African Music Performance, and a US debut performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His sophomore album, Work Of Art, was also named The New York Times’ No. 1 album of the year.

With “Active”, Asake and Travis Scott are set to make a major impact, showcasing their innovative blend of styles and the ongoing global influence of Afrobeats.
