Bruce Melodie, Bien Toast to the Good Life on, ‘Iyo Foto’

Keep all drama away from the two East African superstars.

Kenya’s Bien has teamed up with Rwanda’s Bruce Melodie for the bouncy new tune, “Iyo Foto”. As the first release off Melodie’s upcoming album, it sets the tone for what to expect from the artist. After conquering the Rwandan industry, he sets his sights on the rest of East Africa and potentially, the whole continent.

Backed by production work, provided by Rewardbeatz the afrobeats-tinged “Iyo Foto” finds both artists taking turns celebrating the finer things in life. As expected, Bien steps into the track quickly showcasing the vocal and lyrical dexterity that many have known him for since his days in the now defunct Kenyan group, Sauti Sol.

For the Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, the collaboration marks a turning point in his solo career as he makes his entry into the Rwandan music market. In a statement he emphasised the importance of collaborations across the East African region stating, “We should collaborate more. The more we work together, the more we move forward. West Africa has shown us the way. East African artists let’s work together. Let’s hold each other’s hands.”
