After months of teasing us with audio clips and footage of him recording in the studio, LeeMcKrazy’s sophomore album, Intando Ka God 2.0—the follow-up to 2021’s Intando Ka God—has finally arrived. Recognised as one of the most dynamic voices in Amapiano, Soweto, SA native LeeMcKrazy’s latest release highlights his unstoppable creativity and unmistakable influence in the genre.
On September 17, LeeMcKrazy threw an exclusive listening party at the Rockets restaurant in South Africa, where fans and insiders got a first taste of the album. LeeMcKrazy didn’t disappoint, performing alongside heavyweights like Nia Pearl, Pabi Cooper and Focalistic, while Scotts Maphuma’s DJ set brought the night to a high-energy close. It was an unforgettable night, dripping with star power and electrifying vibes.
Intando Ka God 2.0 (which translates to ‘God’s will’) is a reflection of LeeMcKrazy’s resilience and spiritual journey through the industry. “Intando Ka God is about God’s plan,” he says. “The music industry is a tough space, and I’ve faced a lot of obstacles along the way. But I’ve always believed in myself, fought my battles with prayer, and knew whatever I went through was God’s will. I’ve had this talent but it wasn’t until I hit the studio that I realised I was gifted. That’s when I knew my prayers were being answered, and that’s how the title came to life. It’s something I’ll forever cherish.”
LeeMcKrazy’s grip on the Amapiano scene is undeniable. Known for his electrifying performances and distinct vocal delivery, he spoke about the creative journey behind Intando Ka God 2.0. “During the process,” he says, “I crossed paths with a lot of talented artists, each with their own flavour and style. Everyone brought something special, and it was incredible to collaborate with such hard-working creatives. It was a melting pot of talent, creativity, and inspiration.”
