Sarz Taps Asake Again for New Single, “C’mon Look!”

The countdown to his highly-anticipated solo album continues.

2024 has seen an extensive revival of fuji in mainstream Nigerian music. With the latest collaboration between Nigerian producer Sarz and Grammy-nominated artist Asake, “C’mon Look!,” it’s clear that the genre’s presence isn’t going away anytime soon.

Sampling K1 De Ultimate’s “Won Tun-Nna,” “C’mon Look!” is a surefire party starter poised to take over dancefloors with its blend of irresistible house elements, courtesy of Sarz’s masterful production and Asake’s flair. It incorporates a similar artistic choice to the one the two deployed on the Mike Dean–co-produced “Active,” featuring Travis Scott, off Asake’s album Lungu Boys.

The single is accompanied by an equally fiery visualizer, which shows the duo and their entourage taking over the LA bridge in Downtown Los Angeles as they infiltrate the city on their motorbikes.

“I’m thrilled to close out 2024 by releasing this track with my longtime collaborator and friend, Asake,” Sarz says in a statement. “We are extremely happy with how this record and the supporting visuals came together. I think our fans around the world are in for a treat! I look forward to more collaborations of this caliber in the future, as we continue to push Afrobeats to the world.”

“C’mon Look!” comes ahead of Sarz’s highly anticipated debut solo album, set for release in the new year.
