South Africa’s hip-hop scene has a new voice shaking things up: Ziggy4x, the breakout talent from Cape Flats, has just released his debut EP, Gangsta Baby. The 7-track project follows the success of his hard-hitting single, “Gunshots” featuring Blxckie, which has already become a staple in playlists and clubs across Africa with its raw beat and unfiltered attitude.
Executive-produced by BakerGotTheKeys, Gangsta Baby dives into the gritty, high-energy sound that defines Ziggy4x’s style. With additional production from Herc Cut The Lights, Jaydon Lewis and Lotus Jojo, the EP captures the intensity and pride of Cape Flats, bringing Ziggy4x’s storytelling to life with every beat. Each track hits with the streetwise confidence and anthemic swagger that’s become his signature, showing a young artist who isn’t afraid to speak his truth or rep his roots.

Leading the EP is the crowd favoUrite “Gunshots”, where Ziggy4x teams up with Durban’s own Blxckie. Together, they’ve created an banger packed with high-energy verses and a heavy-hitting hook that’s as infectious as it is bold. Blxckie’s melodic flow meshes perfectly with Ziggy4x’s raw delivery, making it a track that’s impossible to ignore.
Gangsta Baby is available on all streaming platforms, and with this debut, Ziggy4x is putting South African hip-hop on notice.
