French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura is set to feature on Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido’s forthcoming sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, due for release on Friday, July 31.

The award-winning artist, born Aya Coco Danioko, appears on the 10th track titled “Yaya,” marking her second collaboration with Davido after they teamed up on the 2018 single “Gang,” which went on to earn Gold certification from France’s National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP).
ORIADÉ arrives as Davido’s highly anticipated follow-up and continues his tradition of bringing together artists from different parts of Africa and beyond. The 13-track album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif; American singer and songwriter Leon Thomas; Nigerian stars Mayorkun, Fola, and Llona; and several other artists.

Aya Nakamura’s inclusion underscores the borderless nature of African music, with collaborations between Francophone and Anglophone artists continuing to bridge linguistic and cultural divides.
As one of the world’s most successful French-language artists, Aya Nakamura has built an international career by blending Afropop, R&B, zouk, and contemporary French pop, making her one of the most influential African artists of her generation.
Her reunion with Davido also highlights a creative partnership that has endured since Gang, a record that resonated with audiences across Africa and Europe and showcased the growing global appeal of cross-cultural collaborations within African music.

For Davido, ORIADÉ represents another milestone in a career that has helped shape the global rise of Afrobeats. Since his debut, the Nigerian singer has consistently expanded his musical reach through international collaborations while remaining rooted in African sounds and storytelling.
With a guest list spanning multiple countries and genres, ORIADÉ is expected to continue that trajectory, bringing together established stars and emerging talents in what promises to be one of the year’s most anticipated African music releases.
As anticipation builds ahead of the album’s release, “Yaya” is among the tracks we can’t wait to listen to. We trust Aya Nakamura to bring her charisma to the song.
